GitHub Mobile Copilot PR comments gained a faster fix path on July 17, 2026. Reviewers can now select Fix with Copilot directly from Copilot code-review comments in the GitHub Mobile app, then hand the feedback to the Copilot cloud agent without writing a separate prompt.

What changed

GitHub says the action is available from both the pull request’s main view and individual review comments. It is included in the latest production builds of GitHub Mobile for iOS and Android.

The update shortens the path from review feedback to an agent-assisted code change, especially when a reviewer is away from a desktop. It does not, however, prove that the generated fix is correct or that the pull request is ready to merge.

Why this matters for QA engineers

  • Faster feedback loops: a QA reviewer can turn a Copilot finding into a proposed fix from a phone instead of waiting to recreate the context later.
  • More agent-generated changes: teams should expect additional pull-request updates created outside the normal desktop workflow and keep the same review gates.
  • Traceability still matters: reviewers should connect the resulting diff to the original comment and confirm the change addresses the reported risk without widening scope.
  • CI remains the authority: re-run unit, integration, security and relevant end-to-end tests after every agent-produced fix.

A practical QA validation check

Seed a test pull request with a known defect, such as a weak assertion or missing negative case. From GitHub Mobile, start Fix with Copilot on the review comment. Verify that the agent changes only the intended files, preserves existing test coverage, adds or updates the right assertion, and leaves a diff that another reviewer can understand. Finally, confirm all required checks pass before approval.

Bottom line

This is a useful convenience for keeping pull requests moving, not a shortcut around validation. QA teams should treat a mobile-triggered Copilot fix like any other code change: inspect the diff, test the behavior and require normal approval controls.
